Key Responsibilities
- Maintain quality control of all food prepared and ensure it meets the restaurant standards
- Understand the operational set up and principle of the restaurant
- Oversee, Develop and Collaborate with the Sous Chef
- Uphold food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance by monitoring proper food handling, cleanliness, and kitchen procedures
- Conduct inventory and place orders as needed
- Complete necessary preparations for all food and individual stations prior to business operations or event
- Coordinate with the kitchen team and provide support and assistance to any position(s)
- Identify training needs for all back of house team members and positions
- Hiring and training of all back of house team members to prepare and cook all menu items
- 3+ years in a senior kitchen leadership role within a high-volume restaurant
- Valid Food Handler Certification and TABC Certification required.
- Strong operational and financial acumen with experience managing food and labor costs, inventory controls, ordering systems, and budgeting to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Ability to develop, execute, and uphold standardized recipes, plating, and production systems that deliver high-quality food across high guest counts.
- Advanced working knowledge of culinary, inventory, and scheduling systems used to support high-volume kitchen operations.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objecting weighing less than or equal to 45 pounds without assistance
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual activity
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stopping
- Requires manual ability to use, carry, and operate all necessary equipment
